Why Buy Handcrafted soap?

Handcrafted soap is real soap.  Have you noticed that commercially produced bars are referred to as “Beauty Bar”, “Body Wash”, “Cleansing Bars”, or “Hand Wash”? This is because they are made with chemical additives and synthetic detergents; therefore, they cannot legally use the term “soap.” The majority of commercially made bars, if not all, contain sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), which is a known skin irritant that may even cause dermatitis. If you have sensitive skin, this is an ingredient you should avoid. 

In contrast to commercially produced bars, our soap bars are free of chemicals and preservatives; we make our soaps with basic ingredients, oils, lye, and water.  Since our handcrafted soap are made with real and wholesome ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, water, goat’s milk, and essential oils, the result is a real bar of soap!

Handcrafted soap contains glycerin.  Glycerin is a bi-product of creating soap; it is a natural moisturizer created in the process of mixing water, oils, and butters during saponification process. Because glycerin is usually removed during the mass-production process to be sold to the cosmetics industry, commercial bars dry out the skin. On the other hand, glycerin is retained in our handmade soap, making it kind and moisturizing to the skin.

Handcrafted soap is made with superior ingredients. Our handcrafted soaps are made with attention to details; and we care about every single batch we create. Our ingredients include organic and sustainable oils such as tallow, palm oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil. Ingredients that are gentle and kind to the skin. We also add shea butter and cocoa butter to create a luxurious and creamy bar with a lovely generous lather.

We use clays to help detox and remove excess oils from the skin. We use fresh fruits, various kinds of butters, herbs, milk, exfoliants such as oats, coffee, seeds, salt and sand.
